This basket is an elegant twist on the simple but beautiful lines of the ‘Williamsburg’ basket. Beginning with a wooden base, the basket is woven with the gentle rounded flare of the classic ‘Williamsburg’ form, then a few decrease rows will be added to accent the shape. The final emphasis of the basket is a Gretchen or rolled border; a technique that creates a smooth and seamless rim.
