Now cutting and tucking may not be your favorite part of weaving a basket, but you really should put ‘Camp Tuck’ on your weaving event bucket list. \u00a0Land of Lincoln Basketweavers Association (LLBWA) hosts ‘Camp Tuck’ each September in Bloomington\/Normal, Illinois.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This year LLBWA hosted 5 teachers at Camp Tuck:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\u00a0Nancy Matthews and Char Ciammaichella (Hiding from the camera! I’ll get you next time Char!),<\/p>\n

\"\"\u00a0 \"\"<\/p>\n

Laura Lee Zanger, Julie Kleinrath and me.<\/p>\n

I taught five basket classes:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Painted Paper Trays<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0 \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

So many color choices – so many beautiful little baskets!<\/p>\n

\"\"\u00a0 \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I also taught a couple of new baskets. \u00a0Beach Bum<\/a> is a quick little basket for any level weaver, and everyone’s basket turned out lovely! \u00a0You can find the pattern here<\/a> – and its only $3!<\/p>\n

\u00a0\"\"\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

On Saturday I taught T-Tray<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

From my pictures you would think that everyone was weaving the T Tray in blue … not true. \u00a0There were several colors to choose from, seems I only got good pictures of the blue baskets! This really is a lovely basket and worth all the time they put into it – one of my past students won ‘Best of Show’ with it! \u00a0Congratulations Pamela!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Sunday’s class was another new basket. \u00a0Spirals<\/a> is another all level basket and made for a relaxing way to end the weekend. \u00a0This pattern is also $3 and can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Camp Tuck is a wonderful event. \u00a0A tasty lunch is served daily, every one is very helpful and friendly and the location is perfect – roomy and close to hotels and restaurants. I always enjoy attending. \u00a0Thanks for having me!<\/p>\n
