This week I will be teaching at Woven Together in Western Kentucky Retreat<\/a>. \u00a0It is a great basket weaving retreat in a beautiful location. \u00a0I will also be teaching two of my newest baskets, Whispers<\/a> and Wrapped Up<\/a>; which means I am also releasing the patterns.<\/p>\n

Whispers<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Whispers\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This little urn shaped basket is reminiscent of southwestern Native American pottery.\u00a0 This basket starts on a wood base and features triple twining, step-ups, braid weave and decrease rows. \u00a0Basket dimensions: 5 \u00bd \u201d diameter x 5\u201d H \u00a0\u00a0Weaving Level:\u00a0 Intermediate\/Advanced<\/p>\n

Wrapped Up<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Wrapped<\/a><\/p>\n

A revisit to the\u00a0market basket. Starting with a woven filled base, the basket is woven with round reed, Hamburg cane and seagrass, this basket is a great technique basket.\u00a0 It features a filled base, a 4 rod locking row, lots of opportunities to practice twining and triple twining, complete with step ups, and a great way to hide all the weaver ends.\u00a0 The focal of the basket is the eye catching wrap, another great technique!\u00a0Basket dimensions: 11\u201d x 6\u201d x 4\u201d H (7\u201d H with handle) \u00a0Weaving Level:\u00a0 Intermediate<\/p>\n
