A Winter's Sleigh
A Winter's Sleigh: Woven on a large wooden sleigh frame. Basket is finished with a gretchen border and then embellished with maple curls and jinglebells.

Subtle Diamonds: A simple yet striking “twillish” pattern is created with dyed stakes and natural weavers. In addition to twill work, the basket is woven using three-rod wale (including step ups), chase weave and start/stop. An oak base begins the basket and a half round rim and pigtail handle completes the basket.

Shadows: This unusual basket is both double walled and rimless. Beginning with an oak base, the inside oval basket is woven, then the walls are ‘rolled over’ and color is introduced. The eye catching design is created using several waling (twining) and color change techniques.

'un, deux, trois'
'un, deux, trois' - A simple shape, yet an out of the ordinary basket that’s worth the challenge! The inside wall of this double walled basket is woven in a simple twill with natural colors , while the outside wall is a splash of colors woven with variations of three rod wale –creating an unusual design. A double slotted base starts the basket and a double rim completes the basket.

Dakota
Dakota - A beautiful tightly woven, double walled twill bowl that’s well worth the challenge. A prominent contrast is created by using dyed spokes and natural weavers on the inside walls and natural spokes and dyed weavers on the outside wall; the twills are lined up to give an ‘inside out’ look.

Ascend - Simple, subtle and beautiful. The basket begins with a beautiful ash base and the careful placement of dyed and natural spokes. Using very fine weavers, students will then weave chase twill up the side while adding overlays to create the ascending spiral. The rim is lashed with waxed linen and the basket is completed with a round push-in handle.
